Information for Professionals:

As a contractor or distributor of Preservation windows, siding or insulation, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Tax Credit for Non-Business Energy Property § 25C as it applies to eligible components. The details and eligibility requirements for the tax credit are available by clicking here.

We also recommend that you advise your customers to visit the Preservation Energy Tax Credit site to learn about the products from Preservation that apply to the tax credit, receive details on credit eligibility and to download the required manufacturer’s certificate(s).

In order to claim the tax credit, your customers must request an invoice showing the breakout of the price of the insulation, window(s) or door(s). The tax credit is not allowed for the costs associated with onsite preparation, assembly, installation, siding/other components or sales tax.

The Energy Tax Credit information contained on the Preservation site is not complete or comprehensive. For the entire scope of information about the Credit for Non-Business Energy Property § 25C, please visit: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-drop/n-06-26.pdf.
